We are working on settting up another Challenge shortly, proposed date will be the weekend of the 25th. We have to clear it thru Ft. McDowell first, but the indication looks good we can use that venue again.
I would like to get some feeback on the schedule. We have a couple of options for the event schedule, I don't want to make it another 3 day event.
1st. Start on Fri. at noon do pre-registration and a tech inspect for the competitors to evaluate the exact classification of each 4x4. Then we can open the course up for competitors that would like to test it out, and finally do some qualification runs to establish starting orders. This would run most of the day and finish under lights about 8-10 pm. Fri. would be free of course to any spectators. Sat. start at 9a.m and finish up the remaining registration and inspections, once that is completed start the challenge at 1100am, do 2 runs, challenge should be complete by about 5-6pm.
2nd. Fri start at noon and Just have an open course for competitors, maybe some pre-registration, nothing formal just an open track for competitors untill about 8 pm. Sat start at 9 am do the registration, inspect and possibly a qualification run then start the competition, due to doing all the registration required we couldn't start the challenge untill about 1-2 pm, this would push the challenge back to finishing about 8-10pm
Let me know what you possible competitors think???
Thanks Ben

Looks as if we are going to do a full competition on Sat and another full competition on Sun as well. We have had a number of calls asking to do one on Sun so by popular demand we have added Sun. Fri. will only be an informal open course day. Ben ;D

so its gonna be on for shure the 24th of this month? We are still waiting for the final O.K. from Ft. McDowell, this was supposed to go to council last Tuesday, but they did not get to it, It will be on the councils meeting this Tue. And yes it will be Sat. the 25th. and now Sun. the 26th. Fri. the 24th. will only be a very informal open course night just for the volunteers and competitors. Ben
